Man, I'm Really Worried About Kanye!!!

I just got done listening to Kanye's new record 808s & Heartbreak. And man, this dude is really depressed.


I mean, not only are his lyrics pretty depressing, but the album's musical backdrop really sounds like a mix between Portishead's record Dummy and Fiona Apple's first record (I can't recall the name of the album, but it's the one that made her real famous before she fell of the face of the earth.) And I know that that one dude John Byrant tried to help Kanye get his musical bars up a couple records back by having him "study" Dummy, but damn dude, you didn't have to have go all the way to the left with it.

But I think it's a pretty good record, despite it's dark undertones. You can really tell dude is trying to grow as an artist. I really liked "Paranoid" and "Street Light," not because I thought the songs were particularly good, but because you can tell that Kanye is really trying to challenge himself artistically. Gone are the days of the sped up soul sample, and the braggadocio rhyme patterns. Kanye is really trying to be Elvis. Hopefully, he won't go to such extremes to become king.

Beyonce is Mad Talented Yo?!

I can't get over Beyonce's AMA performance. Say what you want about her, but she is one talented performer. Come on, she was really singing while doing the Bob Fossi inspired shake?! SMH in appreciation. Most of today's loser artists get by with special effects. You gotta give Mrs. Carter props for continuing to push the envelope.

I personally think that this type of stuff isn't going to stop. Obama is a threat to Al Qaida. It's gonna be more difficult for them to recruit with him in office, especially if he works hard to reverse the damage done by the Bush regime. We'll see. Damn, Sarah Palin Almost Got Obama Killed!!!

Yesterday I found this story (damn, I can't remember where?!) that said that the Secret Service blamed Sarah Palin for having to step up their efforts to secure Barack Obama. Apparently, the racist skin head types got inspired every time Palin said that Obama wasn't patriotic. Check the story out here. More after the jump.

Details of the spike in threats to Mr Obama come as a report last week by security and intelligence analysts Stratfor, warned that he is a high risk target for racist gunmen. It concluded: "Two plots to assassinate Obama were broken up during the campaign season, and several more remain under investigation. We would expect federal authorities to uncover many more plots to attack the president that have been hatched by white supremacist ideologues."

Wow, I'm pretty sure that these fools aren't going to get less racist or angry over the next couple of months. Look for Obama to be making a lot more speeches behind bulletproof glass boxes. Hopefully none of these groups have a "spook" in the Secret Service.
